Métier: The future of co working spaces for hair and beauty professionals

All the perks of working for yourself, without the pitfalls

There are plenty of hair and beauty professionals who are eager for the freedom, flexible hours, earning potential and recognition that come with being your own boss.

But if you’re not in a financial position to lease and fit out a salon (or willing to take on the risk of a massive loan), what options are you left with?

You could continue working in someone else’s salon or continuing to run your own salon
But perhaps you’re sick of:

  • Not earning the money you know your worth, despite your hard work

  • Not having control over your own schedule, meaning you can’t organise your week in a way that suits you

  • The admin of running a salon and looking after a team when you are at a stage in your life where you just want to enjoy your work & your time with clients

  • Missing out on life events or career-building opportunities like fashion shows and photo shoots due to inflexible hours

  • The competitive, hierarchal, cut-throat environment often found in traditional salons

The commitments that come with leasing a whole salon can be stressful too.

This is why we established Métier: a co working salon space for the dreamers and go-getters of the hair and beauty industry. It’s a space for talented creatives looking for somewhere to call home. Somewhere you can build your own business and be part of a likeminded community, without the stress and expense of fitting out a salon.

The Métier team

Tanita Hepi
Founder / Managing Director

Tanita is the mastermind behind Métier. She’s a true powerhouse who works hard behind the scenes to help new members settle in and keep the salon running smoothly. Her true passion lies within helping people become the best they can be, giving people the best opportunity to thrive off of themselves.

Tanita started Métier because she saw that traditional coworking spaces were only designed to benefit freelancers who sit behind a computer. She wanted to give hair and beauty creatives the same opportunity and freedom that corporate workers have: the ability to build a freelance business from a collab space, with minimal hassle and overheads, focusing on the things that truly matter.
