We are a contemporary co-working space for independent, driven & ambitious hair and make-up freelancers to make their new home. Our community allows you to make that step and become your own boss, without all the hassle and expense of setting up your own salon.

We’ve done all the work for you and set up a co-working salon space with beautiful, versatile workstations, suitable for all hair and beauty professionals. All you need do is bring your tools, your product and your clients. It’s that easy!

Here is some of the key information about Métier. If there's something you'd like to know, that isn't answered here, don't hesitate to give us a call and we can discuss it further. 

Who is Métier ideal for?

Métier is ideal for everyone! More specifically though, we typically find our members are either:

  • Senior stylists with large loyal client bases looking for freedom working by their own schedule & earning their own money.
  • Makeup artists/technicians with back to back clients looking for a centrally located, professional space to run their business from.
  • Returning to the floor & looking for more working flexibility
  • Emerging stylists who would like to take the next step in becoming their own boss, but not looking to take on the costs of opening a salon.

How long must I sign up for?

After your trial period has finished, you may sign up on a weekly or monthly – flexible term contract. We know ‘life’ happens so rather than lock you in, all we require is 30 days’ notice period if you are wanting to vacate your working station.

Can I trial working from Métier before signing up?

Of course, we can offer you free trial days that tie in with your current working schedule so that you can maximise your days off and see how you like the space.

What are the costs involved in working from Métier?

Have your very own workstation on a weekly or monthly pricing plan. The price you pay will always be there same regardless of how much income you make whilst working. We will discuss your situation when you come in for chat & decide what plan will suit you best. All plans will require a min of 30 days’ notice to vacate

What must I provide myself with when working at Métier?

All you need is your styling products, scissors, capes, brushes, clips, foils & colour. We provide you with the rest, such as styling tools, towels, shampoo/conditioner, tint bowls, scales & brushes to use while on site so that there’s less for you to worry about!

Is there parking onsite?

We don’t have parking for members or clients, but there’s plenty of off-street parking around the salon. Parking is either free or meter paid, depending on the time and day. There is a Wilson carpark close by however, we would suggest downloading.Parkable, a free app that gives you access to several car parks nearby for as little as $2 per hour. Long-term leases are also available through Parkable.

Can I take on a Junior Stylist while working at Métier?

Yes, you may take on a Junior Stylist in the salon, but it will require additional fees for any extra chairs used. Have a chat with us regarding this if it is something you are interested in doing as there may be other members who would be interested in joining in and sharing the costs.

What other support does Métier offer?

After signing up, we would love to sit and plan where you want your business to go and what areas you may need support with. Whether that’s with helping getting your accounting and admin side of things set up, putting you in touch with marketing specialists to grow your client base or even just helping you find your groove with how you deal with your clients on a day to day basis – we are here to encourage you to be the best you can be.
